    Christmas at MSC

    On December 25th the students and staff of Marist Solidarity Cambodia as well as ex-students and friends gathered to celebrate Christmas. The Christmas story was presented by the students of Lavalla directed by teacher Vey and accompanied by Br Michael and a choir of students. This was followed by a prayer and the placing of the characters of the nativity crib. All those present were asked to write a prayer or the name of someone they wanted to remember this Christmas on the

    With the arrival of Brother Michael Herry, the singing of the students has gone to a new level. The students are having regular singing practices and the choir group are entertaining the school at assemblies.

    Marist College Ashgrove Every year boys and staff from Marist College Ashgrove visit the Lavalla school. They are most welcome visitors. This year in morning our visitors worked with staff painting the metal roof supports on the verandas around the school. In the afternoon the Ashgrove boys joined our students in the classroom.     Brother Terry

    Much has been written about the death of our friend and Brother Terry Heinrich. It is enough now to simply say that we miss him very much. His wisdom, knowledge of the genesis of Lavalla and his deep love for the many children who have passed through this school leave a gap in our lives.
